2018 NBA Africa Game – Honouring Nelson Mandela

On Saturday, July 27, the NBA published the list of rosters that will take part in this year’s NBA Africa Game. Team Africa will take on Team World on August 4th in Pretoria, South Africa.

 

The game will be the NBA’s 3rd in 4 years. All three NBA Africa Games have been played in South Africa, though this year will be the first time the game will be played in Pretoria.

Several players will be making their respective debuts including Orlando Magic shooting guard, Evan Fournier, who will represent Algeria.

The NBA Africa Game 2018 will take place following the 16th edition of Basketball Without Borders (BWB) Africa.  In honour of the centenary of Nelson Mandela, the game will be played in support of the Nelson Mandela Foundation.
